Now many bands have their own tribute bands following in their wake to idolise their every note and muse but few have a tribute band quite so unique and original as Glen and Marketa's Swell Season. The vocals, riffs, hooks and passion of the Swell Season have been mixed up into the Hip Hop beats of artists 'Dramatik', 'Blaze Infamous' and 'Ms J lyric' to form what must be the most unique tribute act in the world. Not only have they reworked and remixed an incredible sound into and around Glen and Mars masterpiece but they've also added their own astounding and at times intensly beautifull array of deep, moving and thoughtfull lyrics and poetry. Any preconcieved ideas of modern rap and hip hop becoming just a 'bling thing' and 'gangsta music' for selling designer clothes, footwear, hoodies, ego's and attitude to kids and teens is instantly shattered by the depth and passion of these real artists who are a whole cut and class above anything EMI have touted as HipHop in the last decade. Infusing the artisy with beats made by TorN Record's Blaze Infamous and lyrics by DraMatik of Krumb Snatcha's W.O.L.V.E.S. & Mrs J.Lyric; The Swell Season Hip-Hop takes a masterpiece and translates that to a phenomenon the streets can vibe to. From the belly of Hip-Hop culture to the green Isles of Ireland comes music that transcends genre and culture. ..
The Swell Season Hip-Hop will take the Musical Styling’s of the Swell Season and bring it to the world in one of the rawest forms of music, Hip-Hop. Taking such Classics as Falling Slowly, Broken Down, Say it to me now, and many others off the Once Sound track, The Swell Season Hip-Hop will take these classic song s and bring them to the Hip-Hop culture.
Seeing that the urban culture would be robbed of such great music, DraMatik inspired by Glen & Marketa took it upon him self to make an attempt to bring this music to the fore front of Hip-Hop Music. Reaching out to Blaze Infamous with his ideal, Blaze quickly took to the music and ideal that DraMatik had presented. It was almost like magic how the two connected. Then seeing that the project needed a woman’s touch and feel, like that of Makjeta Irglova. DraMatik asked an old friend Ms. J Lyric to come on board and bless the project with a woman touch.
The Music- More Intense, Just as Deep, With a Urban feel that address the issues of the Hip-Hop Culture. Acoustic Guitar and Hip-Hop beats that will make the Season Swell. We present to you The Swell Season- Hip-Hop. We hope both world of this music can enjoy this fusion of Hip-Hop and Folk Music.
